Coding the Wheel publishes long explanations of software fundamentals — the mechanisms under the abstractions most of us use daily without opening.
The editorial line is narrow on purpose. We write about things that will still be true in a decade: data structures, storage, numerics, concurrency, debugging. Framework churn is well covered elsewhere and ages badly.
What we do not do
No sponsored posts, no paid links, no "10 best X" listicles, no tutorials that stop before the difficult part. If an article cannot make a specific, checkable claim, it does not get written.
Corrections
Technical writing is wrong sometimes, and vague technical writing is wrong more often. If you find an error — especially a subtle one — tell us and we will correct it and note that we did.
